Saffron Smoothie


One of the good sources of calcium in the body is milk and banana. So, when you prepare smoothie with them included, it can supply your body with its daily need of calcium in one single dish. Saffron is a great fat burner and is a good drink to take before any workout.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup milk1 banana or Mangoyogurt 1 cup1/2 teaspoon saffronice (optional)1/2 tablespoon of honey

Preparation:

Chop the banana into several pieces after peeling them. Then mix them together with honey, cold milk and in a mixing jar or blender.

Have Saffron strands stay on a few drops of cold/Normal temp water and let it release the smell and color then remove the strands from the water and add the orange/redish result to the mixture.

Mix until the mixture becomes very smooth without any chunks of fruit inside. Add a little ice and mix again.

Optional: You can serve in a glass, with a banana wheel on the rim.

Use Tips:

Adjust the quantity of cold milk for certain level of thickness or thinness, depending on your choice.

Don’t include sugar, ice cream or ice cubes if you’re preparing it for infants.You can decide to use plain ice cream rather than yogurt to make it sweeter.For a nicer flavour, add a pinch of cardamom as you add other ingredients.
